Update

Heya all, its been a while again. its mid term week and i've been hiding in the library and at home trying to type two essays out. shite, my brain's not working and i took like 4 full days trying to write a 6 page paper on policy. it sucks cos i try to do it fast but my brain just doesnt work and the harder i think the more muddled the ideas become. i am officially a self-proclaimed scatterbrain. i have one more case study to do but i'm so stuck because i dont have the resources for my citations and that sucks. but i'll be fine, cant wait for tomorrow to end. subsequently its one essay assignment dued every week. but oh well, i chose this path i shld just embrace it. but this weekend i'm going to time off and go shopping and i have a cook out dinner with a friend, going to cook chicken rice! wuhoo! (prima deli paste laaaa..)

besides work, social life has been great. i'm getting to know more people and have been going over people's home for meals! nice yummy dinners! wuhoo! i gotta know this really nice girl called renee. She has a nice apartment and i'm glad cos i have one more couch to stay over if i get lonely being alone at home. :P plus its really near home, i can just run home in my pjs the next morning.

weather's dipping and its crazily cold now. :/ average weather is about 0-8 degrees everyday. with wind chills its -2degrees. no snow in sight yet. but i'm not that big on snow now cos apparently winter's 5 months over here! the other bad thing is that its so cold outside but its warm indoors cos of heating so dressing is kinda crazy. cant wear too much inside cos it'll be warm when u reach the destination but if u wear too little, u'll freeze to death before reaching ur destination. haha. but its a cool experience (pun intended).

went for internship today and i shadowed a case manager on a home visit. reminds me of work at CDC, i miss it so much now. (considering going back to be a locum next summer) but anyway, the client's story was crazy, its crazy. i was my OMG, this is the kinda case where you probably take an hour drawing up the genogram where ever kid has a different father. i mean, its so different from what you get at home that its exciting! at the back of my head i'm thinking, whao, what you gone through in life man! i feel like this ditzy privileged girl who doesnt know anything about suffering in life and there's so much to learn from them. but i'm excited, its thrilling and fun! still struggling to figure out the assistance systems but not too stressed about it. i've more or less embraced my status as a student and play and fun is the first thing on my list. but i'm in U chicago, tagline: where the fun comes to die. :/
