school is in & temperature's dipping!

woke up with a rude shock this morning from the sudden chill. quickly turned on my computer and realised its 8degrees! how did that happen?? just last saturday i was in my black capped-sleeve dress (from singapore!) and today its chilly cold! brrr... went to school and everyone was talking about the sudden dip in temperature. apparently its 1st Oct, meaning autumn time, prelude to the cold white freezing winter. now i am abit worried, what i stocked up for winter i've already pulled them out for autumn. need to go shopping yet again.

had my first week of class. monday was terrible. speaking in class is never my forte. i prefer to hide in class and run away after class ends. but now with participation taking up 20% of my grade, going to class is the most stressful time of my life at this point. i tried speaking up today and my heart pounded so hard it nearly shot out of my chest. practice makes perfect! i can do it! but over here it really is so different. advisors tell you what they expect exactly for papers and a course mate told me if in doubt just ask. with the amount of money I pay I should not be in doubt or I should make my advisors explain clearly until i fully comprehend what is exactly happening in class. hmmm, throughout the whole conversation I was thinking "you sure I can do that??" Feel like a mountain turtle over here. :/ 

i met a fellow singaporean at the bus stop on my way to school. he was asking about the bus and immediately the singaporean-radar picked up the signal. he was actually suprised i recognised that he is singaporean. like dur... its not hard to tell. so there, my first singaporean friend from the same uni. apparently there's some singaporean society meeting, shall go take a look, they'll be my support when i really miss home. oh right, need to have my contacts so that i can build relationships/ networks, at least i wont be so sad and lonely during chinese new year. sigh, thats definitely the one holiday i will miss. 

okay, so my life in a nutshell for now. anyway i've officially discontinued my singapore mobile line with immediate effect. so dont call me or text me there anymore. i'll buy a US sim card tmr (yes, i know some of u r nodding ur head and thinking "finally!") and inform u the no. and u guys and send me internet msg if u miss meeeeee... :D
