work hazard

its official. i have latent TB. Thankfully my chest x-ray is clear so US shouldnt be a problem. now comes the scary part. i'm totally fine with the diagnosis cos i know it can be treated. its the side effects of treatment. as i have to finish treatment within 4 months, the doc gave me a stronger drug which also mean more adverse effects ie. (possible) liver failure.

googled the drug and got this off netdoctor.co.uk, the exact side effects include:

Rash
Diarrhoea
Red colouration of urine
Inflammation of the large intestine (colitis)
Yellowing of the skin and eyes (jaundice)
Alteration in results of liver function tests
Excessive breakdown of red blood cells that reduces red blood cell count (haemolytic anaemia)
Cold or flu-like symptoms
Nausea and vomiting
Loss of appetite
Shortness of breath
Decrease in the number of platelets in the blood (thrombocytopenia)
Kidney failure
never felt so scared taking medicine before. oh, and i have to abstain from alcohol for 4 months which is nothing compared to the above side effects. anybody willing to offer your kidney if mine fails? ok, alarm calling, time to kill my liver. 11pm everynight.
