finals ended about one week plus ago and i've been catching up on sleep and hanging out with friends. i actually only managed to get some decent rest on my trip to st louis because since my neighbour's birthday party, the taiwanese have been asking me out rather often! think i'm even enrolled in the taiwanese association! half membership! they do supper alittle too regular (need to watch the weight now) but i'm much happier now since supper was a regular activity i engaged in Singapore. and being able to go out for supper gave me a sense of liberty now cos I dont need to coop in my home after dark because of safety (or lack of). am definitely a much happier person now! :)
three weeks ago before my finals were dued, my classmates decieded to have a party before we hide in our homes to churn out 12 page essays. it was a good time of fun and present exchange and nice to spend more time with my classmates out of class. but house parties are nasty! enough said, not going into any more details! haha. and pictures are restricted only one group pic.
went ice skating on the 12th. i fell like a zillion times cos i was ge-kiang. trying to skate fast and end up toppling over. :/ but it was fun nevertheless.
then was the 5 day trip down to st louis. it was nice to have a proper bed and pillow to sleep in, waking up to the scent of coffee, i was definitely in heaven! it was nice being fussed over by a mother and having all my meals prepared. jaq even packed me sandwiches, a drink and cookies for my trip back to chicago. didnt do much, ran errands with the ongs and just spend time with them. i slept at 11pm every night, caught up on my sleep and overloaded on the sleep in preparation for my havoc trip to nyc! i call this my retreat to rejuvenate. st louis is a smaller city and everything's spaced out and vast, i'm glad i made the right choice, i wont be able to survive in this place. missouri = misery. i'm too much of a city kid. but if i did have a family, i wont mind st louis. alright, i wont type too much, let the pics show u how blissful my trip was! no eyebags! :Dpictures here!
i'm heading to NYC on tue. Updates will come in next year! :) so in the meantime, everyone have a good holiday and be merry! see ya in 2009. and dont forget to reflect on the year. it was a great year for me! :D
