this weekend has been a rainy weekend. it rained non-stop and by going out, i was subjecting myself to being drenched. hate it that my shoes get all soaked and i had to waddle around in wet and cold feet. hates. contemplating getting rain boots. didnt realise the rain was so destructive until i read the chicago tribune online that Chicago is considered under state of emergency because of flooding!! read here. but i'm ok, other than being grouchy about being in the rain the last two days i'm well. :)
went to the field museum yesterday and i met sue, the world's largest and most complete t-rex! amazing, i was so excited during the visit, first time seeing dino bones! whoppiee! i'm definitely going back on a free day! took some pictures but i forgot to charge my batteries so only have a few. click for pics here.
tried to attend church today. decided to head down to moody church but going there really made me moody. haha, i'm kidding. just that it was raining so heavily, i was drenched (again), the train re-routed and i couldnt find the place. was kinda miserable being cold, wet and lost. :( when i finally found it, it was only 15 mins left. so even before i could settle down it was already over. services here are only 1 hr 15mins instead of the usual 2 hrs in singapore. mental note, need to leave home earlier. otherwise i contemplate heading to the church near home, 3mins walk only. haha.
had dim sum with more new friends and now i'm home snuggling in bed. such weather just encourages me to stay home. received a happy package in the mail. welcome present packed in a mac & cheese box with essential supplies. the hot coco totally made my day! *smilesss
