a cat's day
had a lot of cat drama today. when i was bringing 'kitty' to the vet, i met this neighbour who was holding onto a small kitty(black with white streaks on the face) drenched from the rain. she was trying to get me to accept and keep the kitty cos it's in a very pitiful state and she for some reason couldnt keep it. i rejected cos 1 is enough for now considering im a novice in rearing pets. so off she went knocking on doors hoping to find an owner and off i went to the vet.
'kitty's' about 3-4 weeks old, generally fine and healthy w/o any fleas, so the vet told me to bring him back for vaccination 3-4weeks ltr. he's really small and skinny, yvonne suggest me to fatten him up.
when i was heading off for dinner with erwin, 2 cats, a white with orange spots and a black, came into my home. i recognised it as 'kitty's' mommy cos they look exactly alike. my guess would be the black's the mate meaning the kitty's 'kitty's' sibling! i got confused then, shld i return kitty to his mommy? stray or domestic cat? argh! decisions!
just after dinner, while erwin and i were wondering what we shld do, my neighbour-tangie gave me a ring, her dog found a poor little drenched kitty (white with black streaks on the face, black tail) who couldnt even meow. sigh, so zoom, home we went. got tangie to use a cloth of dry the kitty while i went home to grab kitty food. on the way home i met tangie with the first neighbour. apparently she had left the kitty in the park and somehow she worried so much about it she couldnt eat her dinner so she went to take a look at it and found it wet, shivering and hiding among the grass.
anyway the final plan was to put the 2 kittens in a box and left it outside the vet, praying hard that they'll keep it and nurse the kittens to health. seeing the 2 poor kittys also helped me to decide, considering the parents are somewhere ard but not doing anything about their babies, leaving them drenched and cold, i decided to give kitty a domestic life. kitty up for adoption, anyone?
