update part 2
Day 4
went down brunswick street shopping
i love the buildings there..it's really different from singapore..n the colours.. the contrast is really beautiful.. *no wonder they advertise Aussie with the rainbow colours..but another side note.. in aussie, there r some houses that hang rainbow coloured flags outside, it signifies they accept gays or are probably gays living in the houses.. does it mean from the commerical they are advertising Aussie as a country that accepts the gay population? just a tot*
anyway went to the Alanna Hall(i think so if i didnt remember wrongly..) warehouse/factory outlet.. but the clothes r still freaking expensive..a simple top can be $100 plus.. wonder how much they're selling on the shelves in Chapel street.. anyway Alanna Hall is this range of vintage clothes.. they're really lovely but too expensive. bleah..
after that i went to meet my friend bobby who's studying in monash.. he was really nice, cos i asked him out at the last min n he only just reached home from school n was really tired.. but he went right out again just to meet me.. ^_^
after that jun, me went to meet tabbie n danny for a sin city.. it was an interesting movie.. i love the effects, it's really different from the mainstream movies we've been getting but the stories were kinda dark... fancy watching with tabbie n danny who were just telling us about some cannibalism story at camberwell market.. interested listeners can ask me again, i dont wanna type it here n spoil everyone's appetite
Day 5
i went for a one day tour along The Great Ocean Road..
it was an interesting experience cos i went on the tour alone!!
haha, kenny, yingli and i were just discussing bout travelling alone during our attachment n im actually going on a one day tour myself.. yea.. there was the downside of it whereby i couldnt express my awe when i saw the 12 apostles.. i could only see it n breathe in the magnificence of the sight.. but i kinda regret not being more friendly n talking to the other who were travelling alone on the tour.. anyway.. i went to various place along the great ocean road.. went to a Geelong, Torquay--surf city, Anglesea--safe surf beach, Lorne--weathiest town, all the rich families have holiday homes here, Apollo Bay, 12 Apostles and London Bridge.
Day6
Peyang brought jun n i to Geelong Harbour..
Geelong is the next largest city in victoria after Melbourne..
we went to the Geelong Botanical Gardens..
Peyang's a landscape architect so he knows virtually every single plant name.. n it's their scientific name mind u.. we kept asking him plant names n he could came virtually every single one.. i mean, even if it's wrong we wont know either.. muahaha.. but nah.. i believe he's that good!
Headed to Avalon airport where i took jetstart to Sydney
wuhoo...
Derek picked me and Eunice up from the airport and after putting our luggage at his home we headed to coles for grocery shopping..
it was so fun.. i love grocery shopping, esp looking at all the interesting chocloates n snacks... so different from singapore!!
We went on a city cruise and dropped by the town hall n Queen Victoria Shopping centre..
the shopping centre was lovely!! so beautiful, victorian style..
anyway there was a letter that was being stored in "show box" that was written by Queen Elizabeth and was supposed to be read out in erm.. i think it's approx yr 2090, cant remember the exact yr.. but it's bout there.. too bad i dont think i'll ever get to hear what was written in the letter.. but it's really fun.. hee..
went down to the harbour where i got my first sight of the sydney harbour!!! so pretty.... tried to take a few pics but my camera disappointed me n died on me... derek promised to bring us back a few days later.. went to grab hotdog at this wheel cart think it's called Harry's cafe n the hotdog was dewheels something..haha.. im so horrible with names.. anyway the hotdog was huge!! but it was superb.. yum...
supposed to head down to Max Brenner but it was packed and we went to Dee Bees instead.. it's all situated at Knox street.. Apparently Max Brenner in aussie is way better than singapore.. but too bad.. was supposed to go the mel one too but didnt have the chance.. anyway i met Jennifer there, so happened she was going to max brenner.. small world.. hee...
after all the food intake, we headed back home for night..
